AMBASSADORS SPREAD GOOD VIBRATIONS ALONG TORONTO’S WATERFRONT THIS SUMMER
The Beach Boys reunion has everyone buzzing with excitement and those good vibrations are coming to Toronto’s Waterfront this summer with the Good Vibrations Waterfront Ambassador Program presented by The Waterfront BIA. The program features eight lively ambassadors who will travel along Toronto’s Waterfront offering assistance, directions and recommendations to visitors, as well as impromptu a cappella performances of Beach Boys numbers on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays from 10am to 5pm, June 21 until September 3, 2012.
I Get Around; Wouldn't It Be Nice; Don't Worry Baby and Barbara Ann have been arranged as full and 1.5 minute songs by internationally-published composer, arranger and performer Aaron Jensen.
Good Vibrations features Alex Cottreau, Alicia Estridge, Allen Chien, Chloe Weir, Daniel Mousseau, Emily Baron, James Elcombe, Julia Morson, Ke Lu and Stephanie Ma, many of whom are members of University of Toronto a cappella groups Onoscatopoeia and Tunes.Beats.Awesome, who qualified as semi-finalists at the 2010 and 2012 International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella respectively.
The Beach Boys’ reunion tour brings them to the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre on June 19, 2012 and the Good Vibrations will be on site before the concert to serenade fans waiting in line at the venue with a cappella renditions of Beach Boys songs.
The Good Vibrations Ambassador Program is sponsored by Waterfront Toronto and is part of an overall strategy to make the Toronto Waterfront a welcoming destination for tourists and locals in Toronto this summer.
