Gallery in the Garden: Second Nature
Sherway Gardens until May 15th, 2010

In celebration of Earth Day, Sherway Gardens’ current Gallery in the Garden exhibit entitled Second Nature presents artworks incorporating recycled, repurposed, reconstructed, upcycled, redesigned, enhanced, tweaked and found materials that provide commentary on the future of the planet.


Fibre art by Marie Campbell, Shirley Kirby, Yvonne Lane, Ann O’Shea and paintings, sculptures and constructions by Paul McCusker, Quan Luc Steele, Helen McCusker, Susan Dain, Eileen Menzel, Karen Morgan, Linda Semple, Janice Ykema and Robin Hollingdrake will be on display until May 15th, 2010.

CELEBRATE MARCH BREAK @ EMTC
Friday, March 19 • Project Love Kits
10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm

Show your support for students and teachers in Haiti by creating Project Love Kits. Each kit prepared for a child in Haiti will include a notebook, pencil, eraser and ruler. Teachers kits will also be assembled and will consist of the basics needed to educate children. Each kit will also include a Canadian flag and a letter from the participant who created the Project Love Kit.


After the Project Love Kits have been completed, each participating parent and child will have their picture taken to capture the moment and will be given a decorative frame as a keepsake. The event is in support of CODE, an organization dedicated to supporting education in third world countries. (All materials are included). Participants can enter for a chance to win a $50 Cadillac Fairview shop! card.
