ADD A NEW DIMENSION TO YOUR GARDEN WITH CACTI AND SUCCULENTS:
Exploring the hidden treasures of cacti and succulents can turn a barren landscape into an unusual garden, a dull window into a showcase of foliage and flowers, or a boring container garden into a vibrant focal point with added colour and pizzaz.

Cactus Gardens: A cactus garden can liven up a yard and give a home an original look. The best place to plant a cactus garden is on a hill, as it allows the garden to drain easily. If your property is flat, you can create a cactus garden, it will just involve more digging. Decide the size and shape of the garden and mark the border on the ground before beginning to make digging easier.

When choosing cacti for the garden, be sure to choose plants that will thrive in the various outdoor conditions. Plant the cacti, pot and all, into the ground to ensure easy removal for transporting the plants inside during the winter.

Wall Water Fountains: Cacti and succulents can be used as striking foliage to accompany a wall water fountain or awning.

Miniature Indoor Desert Scenes: For small apartments or homes with limited space; creating a miniature desert scene indoors is easy with decorative dish gardens of cacti and succulents. These miniature landscapes offer great interest, only take a few hours to make and once established, grows almost unattended.

Cacti and succulents are ideal for dish gardens as they are small and grow slowly.
